Ultrafine polyamide 6.6 microfiber for a softer, silkier feel and enhanced coverage

NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® is an ultrafine polyamide 6.6 microfiber yarn, developed as an evolution of traditional microfiber. Its extremely fine filaments provide enhanced coverage, greater comfort and an exceptionally soft, silky hand feel.

Thanks to these characteristics, NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® is particularly suitable for underwear, sportswear and women's hosiery, as well as other textile applications requiring softness, comfort and high coverage.

WHAT IS NANOFIBRA BY FULGAR®?

NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® is an innovative polyamide 6.6 microfiber featuring even finer filaments than traditional microfiber. The high number of extremely fine microfilaments creates a compact and uniform structure that provides enhanced coverage and an exceptionally soft, silky hand feel.

Fabrics and garments made with NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® combine comfort, softness and coverage, making the yarn suitable for applications designed for close and prolonged contact with the skin.

Properties of NANOFIBRA by Fulgar®

Soft, silky hand feel

The microfilaments that make up the yarn have a diameter up to 50% finer than those of traditional microfiber, giving fabrics an exceptionally soft, silky hand feel and enhancing comfort during garment use.

Enhanced coverage

NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® features a filament fineness of up to 0.5 dtex per filament. The high number of extremely fine microfilaments makes it possible to create fabrics with enhanced coverage while maintaining softness and comfort.

Moisture management

Thanks to its polyamide 6.6 base, NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® provides moisture management properties that contribute to comfort during garment use.

The technology behind

Developed by Fulgar's R&D team, NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® is characterized by an exceptionally high number of microfilaments with a diameter of up to 7 microns.

While traditional microfibers feature a filament fineness of approximately 1 dtex per filament, the microfilaments that make up NANOFIBRA by Fulgar® reach a fineness of up to 0.5 dtex per filament.

This particular microfiber structure makes it possible to create fabrics with enhanced coverage and an exceptionally soft, silky hand feel, providing greater comfort for the wearer.

Nanofibra by Fulgar® is a commercial product name and is classified as a microfibre.
