WHAT IS EVO?
THE NATURE OF EVO® by FULGAR
EVO® is a 100% bio-based yarn, made from renewable sources. The origins are castor oil and industrial corn, both fully renewable resources that do not require large amounts of water or take away land for food use. More than half of the raw material comes from the inedible castor plant which grows wild on poor and dry soil. The rest comes from industrial corn planted on lands that do not compete with the food production of rice, wheat or other traditional food crops. 40% of the corn kernel is used and the rest is sold for other food and feed markets.
Suitable for any textile application, EVO® is ultra-light, super stretch, extremely breathable, dries quickly and does not require ironing; it also has thermal properties and natural odor-control characteristics.
PROPERTIES
ULTRALIGHTWEIGHT FIBER
Day after day, the textile market is increasingly looking for lighter fabrics capable of maintaining the same coverage.
Today, thanks to EVO® fiber, it is possible to reduce the specific weight of a fabric by more than 20% compared to PES-based materials. Therefore, EVO® offers a lighter solution while maintaining the same coverage performance.

EXTRA-FAST DRYING
EVO by Fulgar® represents the new generation of multifunctional fibers, enabling a significant reduction in drying time compared to a 100% polyamide fabric.

ODOR CONTROL
EVO® has an intrinsic bacteriostatic capability that provides effective odor control properties, helping to reduce the formation of unpleasant odors.

ENHANCED ELASTICITY
The elastic modulus of EVO by Fulgar® is significantly higher than that of any other polyamide 6.6 (1900 MPa vs. 2500 MPa for EVO®).
These advanced mechanical properties enable the development of fabrics and garments with high elasticity combined with excellent recovery performance.
THERMAL INSULATION
EVO by Fulgar® has an intrinsic thermal insulation capability that helps protect the body from environmental temperature variations. UNI EN ISO 11092:2014
BRILLIANT COLORS
The unique chemical structure of EVO by Fulgar® has been engineered to achieve outstanding dyeing performance, even at lower temperatures.

OEKO-TEX® STD 100 CLASS I appendix 6
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is an independent and uniform control and certification system at an international level for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products in the textile sector at every level of processing, as well as for the accessory materials used. Thanks to its decades of experience, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® helps to guarantee high and effective product safety from the consumer's point of view.
DIN CERTCO
EVO® by Fulgar is DIN CERTCO certified according to the ASTM D 6866:2012-01 R.N 8C096 method. The product EVO by Fulgar® is accredited according to the international study LCA - ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, as well as certified OEKO-TEX STD 100 CLASS I.
LCA
LCA - Life Cycle Assessment is a process of evaluating the effects that a product has on the environment over the entire period of its life thereby increasing resource-use efficiency and decreasing liabilities. It can be used to study the environmental impact of either a product or the function the product is designed to perform, identifying and quantifying the environmental loads involved; e.g. the energy and raw materials consumed and the emissions generated. Also, evaluating the potential environmental impacts of these loads allow assessing the options available for reducing these environmental impacts.
