WHAT IS EVO?

THE NATURE OF EVO® by FULGAR

EVO® by FULGAR is a 100% bio-based yarn, made from renewable sources. The origins are castor oil and industrial corn, both fully renewable resources that do not require large amounts of water or take away land for food use. More than half of the raw material comes from the inedible castor plant which grows wild on poor and dry soil. The rest comes from industrial corn planted on lands that do not compete with the food production of rice, wheat or other traditional food crops. 40% of the corn kernel is used and the rest is sold for other food and feed markets. 

Suitable for any textile application, EVO® by Fulgar ® is ultra-light, super stretch and extremely breathable, dries quickly and does not require ironing; it also has thermal properties and natural odor control characteristics.

PROPERTIES

AN ULTRALIGHTWEIGHT FIBER​
EVO makes it possible to reduce the fabric weight by 25% as compared to an identical 100% polyester product, whilst retaining the same covering properties.

EXTRA RAPID DRYING
EVO belongs to the next generation of multifunctional fibres which dry in 50% less time as compared to an 100% polyamide 6,6 fabric.

MOVE COMFORTABLY​
EVO has a modulus of elasticity which is greatly superior to any other polyamide 6,6 (1900Mpa). This mechanical property leads to the creation of fabrics and garments that boast excellent elasticity and good compressive qualities.

ODOR CONTROL
EVO has a built-in bacteriostatic capacity meaning it keeps odours in check and stops bad smells before they start. *UNI EN ISO 22196

THERMO ISOLATION​
EVO has intrinsic thermal insulation properties which protect the wearer from any variations in external temperature. *UNI EN ISO 11092:2014

BRIGHT COLOURS ​
EVO's unique chemical structure was specially designed to ensure excellent dyeing qualities even at low temperatures.

EVO® by Fulgar is DIN CERTCO certified according to the ASTM D 6866:2012-01 R.N 8C096 method. The product EVO by Fulgar® is accredited according to the international study LCA - ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, as well as certified OEKO-TEX STD 100 CLASS I.

LCA 

LCA - Life Cycle Assessment is a process of evaluating the effects that a product has on the environment over the entire period of its life thereby increasing resource-use efficiency and decreasing liabilities. It can be used to study the environmental impact of either a product or the function the product is designed to perform, identifying and quantifying the environmental loads involved; e.g. the energy and raw materials consumed and the emissions generated. Also, evaluating the potential environmental impacts of these loads allow assessing the options available for reducing these environmental impacts.
