WHAT IS Q-GEO?

Q-GEO® IS A SPECIAL POLYAMIDE YARN THAT PROVIDES A COMBINATION OF COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE IN A BIO-BASED FORMULA. 

It is a bio-based polyamide yarn obtained from renewable sources and has unique characteristics. Exceptional moisture management means greater user comfort. Flame retardant without halogenated additives for demanding markets. Q-GEO® by Fulgar also offers long-lasting to the garments, which offer enduring colour, performance and comfort.  

46% of the raw material is bio-based, obtained from industrial corn, and the remainder is sourced from fossil fuels. Almost half the material required for monomer production is In the context of environmental awareness, Q-GEO® production also makes it possible to reduce water consumption when compared to traditional cotton production. 
 

PROPERTIES

END USES
A yarn that can be used in all textile applications, it is perfectly workable like a conventional polyamide and can be combined with all fibers.

MOISTURE MANAGEMENT
Q-GEO®’s moisture management properties are 50% greater than conventional polyamide yarns, providing greater comfort.

DURABILITY
Fabrics and clothing made of Q-CYCLE by Fulgar® Q-GEO® offers exceptional abrasion resistance and durability, at the same level as polyamide 6.6, giving consumers a sustainable, long-lasting choice.  

HOW TRACEABLE IS Q-GEO® BY FULGAR?

Q-GEO® by Fulgar® renewable raw material is traced from its source, ensuring traceability throughout the textile supply chain. The Sustainability Declaration linked to ISCC Plus certification guarantees transparency in the supply chain.

LCA

LCA is a process of evaluating the effects that a product has on the environment over the entire period of its life thereby increasing resource-use efficiency and decreasing liabilities. It can be used to study the environmental impact of either a product or the function the product is designed to perform, identifying and quantifying the environmental loads involved; e.g. the energy and raw materials consumed and the emissions generated. Also, evaluating the potential environmental impacts of these loads allow assessing the options available for reducing these environmental impacts.

ISCC

ISCC PLUS allows you to demonstrate, through a management system, the traceability and sustainability of raw materials, intermediate products and final products of the supply chains of: production of food products, for feed, technical/chemical, bio-based, supply chains of biomass production for energy applications. The standard has sustainability and traceability as its basic requirements.

 

Q-GEO BY FULGAR®

DIN CERTCO

Q-GEO® by Fulgar is DIN CERTCO certified according to the ASTM D 6866:2022 R.N 8C376 method. DIN CERTCO, a certification office based in Germany, launched its program dedicated to organic products in 2010. In this program it is possible to certify an entire product or specific components. DIN-Geprüft Biobased includes three quality levels that indicate the bio-based content of a product. This indication of the organic content appears on the certification mark together with the DIN-Geprüft Biobased logo and the applicant's registration number.
