T-REX Project Consortium: Fulgar

Daniela Antunes, Marketing Manager at Fulgar, talked about Fulgar role in the T-REX project, the challenges of the textile industry, and her vision for the future.

Daniela Antunes marketing manager at Fulgar has released an interview in the "Meet the Consortium" series where she talked about Fulgar role in the T-REX project, the challenges of the textile industry, and her vision for the future.

The T-REX project aims to contribute to a paradigm shift by understanding and identifying the infrastructure and technology needed to encourage the growth of circular value chains by working to develop a systemic approach to tackling the problem of textile waste.

“Fulgar’s role is to transform recycled polyamide polymers into high-quality filaments for garment production. Our technical team, with its extensive experience, not only ensures that the yarns are produced to the highest standards but also collaborates closely with the recycler and polymer producer to define the best quality of our raw materials. This partnership is crucial to the project’s success.” Daniela Antunes stated in one of the passages of the interview who then added:

“The most significant opportunities lie in reducing the use of natural resources and minimizing environmental impact. The convergence of sustainability and innovation in textiles is revolutionizing the industry, pushing it towards greener and more responsible practices. The shift towards greater sustainability across the industry’s supply chain is driven by growing consumer awareness and the urgent need to reduce the textile industry’s environmental footprint on the global ecosystem.” In response to the question: “What is the biggest opportunity to be seized in textile-to-textile recycling?”

In this context, Fulgar shows closeness to the brands in the sector, guaranteeing solid support in choosing the best solutions for the most responsible raw materials for them and for the planet.
