Milan, 17 November 2022 – For the release of the new Activewear 3.0 collection, the Materials Science Brand PANGAIA has chosen the bio-based yarn EVO® by Fulgar, a global leader in the production of man-made yarns. A decision that reconfirms the sustainable direction of the brand, whose mission is to find materials that eliminate petrochemicals and support a positive future for the planet.
“The activewear sector generally relies on materials of 100% petrochemical origin, as high benefits in terms of moisture absorption and performance are required. Instead, the introduction of a greater number of bio-based materials makes it possible to replace fossil fuels with renewable resources. This is the choice we made for the Pangaia Activewear 3.0 collection. Thanks to the partnership with Fulgar and the use of EVO® yarn, we have succeeded in creating a new generation of sustainable but, at the same time, highly performing activewear” declares Amanda Parkes, Chief Innovation Officer of The Pangaia.
EVO® by Fulgar is a yarn made from castor oil, a plant that grows spontaneously in arid areas of the world and does not require large quantities of water. The yarn retains the same characteristics as nylon and is suitable for any textile application because it is light, elastic, breathable and dries quickly. All properties that make it perfectly in line with PANGIA's "high-tech naturalism" philosophy and excellent for the new capsule, made of 99.99% EVO nylon.
The evolution of PANGAIA activewear presents a revolutionary wearability experience, with seamless garments that offer high benefits in terms of comfort and elasticity. The garments also allow you to maintain freshness for longer thanks to the PPRMINT ™ treatment, with natural peppermint oil.
“We are very happy to once again be alongside PANGAIA on its journey towards ever greener collections, thanks to the potential of our ecological yarns. It is an important acknowledgment of our more than ten-year commitment to eco-sustainable research and development for an ethical, circular and increasingly sustainable supply chain also in the field of activewear”, declares Alan Garosi, Head of Marketing at Fulgar.
The Pangaia Activewear 3.0 collection with EVO® by Fulgar – available on www.pangaia.com– consists of four models in three color variants: bra, cropped top, shorts and leggings, in black, leaf green and cerulean blue.
