HERNO CHOOSES AMNI SOUL ECO® A BIO-DEGRADABLE NYLON YARN MADE IN ITALY BY FULGAR

Florence – Herno Globe, the green capsule collection within the brand’s menswear collection for Fall/Winter 2020/2021, is enhanced by a new eco-sustainable project – two garments in FAST5DEGRADABLE fabric, a 20-denier nylon made using Amni Soul Eco® bio-degradable polyamide 6,6 yarn.

The fabric’s name reflects the benefits offered by the yarns used in its composition. The result of research by the Solvay Group - in collaboration with Fulgar, a centre of Made in Italy excellence and leader in the production of innovative, eco-sustainable man-made fibres - Amni Soul Eco® offers revolutionary bio-degrading times. If correctly disposed of in special anaerobic tips Amni Soul Eco® biodegrades in around five years, compared to the fifty-year period required by a normal polyamide.   

The presence of Amni Soul Eco® in the Herno Globe bomber and coat in FAST5DEGRADABLE fabric means they are rapidly bio-degradable. The use of accessories and down padding that is easy to dispose of also means the garments are fully sustainable.
