Fulgar is an international leader on the manmade fibre market, manufacturing and distributing polyamide 6,6 and covered elastomers for the technical and textile sectors.
First set up in the '70s, Fulgar has had an international bent since its inception. Indeed it lost no time in pressing forward and opening new facilities and plants, soon becoming a world leader in its sector. In a league of its own, Fulgar bridges the gap between traditional Italian quality and modern innovation and technology.
Chemistry, spinning, texturation and all subsequent processing stages: Fulgar is all this and more. Moreover, it is able to count on a highly contemporary business model which hinges on two fundamental aspects: product development and innovative solutions for latest-generation textiles on the one hand, and an exceptional corporate set-up focusing on the vital importance of human resources and sustainability on the other.
Quality, innovation, creativity and respect for the environment
Fulgar's approach rests on these cornerstones; key points which have helped its Italian yarns to gain recognition all over the world.
Fulgar's nylon products and covered yarns are used in sundry sectors and for all kinds of materials and fabrics, including hosiery, circular knitting, lingerie, beachwear and sports apparel. Indiscernible yet essential ingredients which have enabled Fulgar to provide backstage support to many of the greatest international success stories in the Textile-Fashion sector.
Being aware of this has caused Fulgar to keep up its unflagging efforts in the design process of a panoply of high-performing specialised products. Intelligent fibres developed with special needs and unique sectors in mind. Fibres which bear witness to Fulgar's uncanny ability and singular versatility in producing extremely high quality products which continue to prevail on today's chequered market.
Founded in Castel Goffredo in Northern Italy at the end of the 70s, as a result of the internationalisation process launched ten years ago, our Company has gained much ground on international markets and today is a market leader in Italy and Europe. Heavy investments in an extremely modern yarn facility specialised in nylon 6.6. production has undoubtedly contributed significantly to our rapid growth. This facility was a watershed in terms of corporate strategy because it was a launch pad for our future development. In order to boost the burgeoning business, various industrial plans were devised not only to increase our market share, but also to improve and broaden our corporate skills and specialisations.
In 2003, our company founded Fulgar Lanka, which specialised in textured nylon 6.6 yarn production, and in 2007 Fulgar East Doo was set up in Serbia in order to provide our clientèle with quality products at more competitive prices.
In 2009 an international partnership with the The LYCRA Company was sealed for the distribution and sale of LYCRA® Fiber on the European market. This was another strategic milestone which enabled Fulgar to become the chief exclusive distributor for Italy, Europe and Turkey. No less important was the agreement drawn up with Rhodia-Solvay to manufacture and distribute Emana® fibres on the European market and in 2015 the launch of the first 100% bio-based polyamide EVO by Fulgar®.
Today Fulgar has more than 1,000 employees worldwide. The yarns are used for wide array of clothing purposes. Their sheer versatility stems from the meticulous planning, design and manufacturing stages which envision the various performance and comfort standard that the consumer might require.
